COMMUNITY

Restore pride in UofT, and make it mean something to be a UofT student.

A Brief Glimpse:

- Week-long frosh week for students of all years

- Integrated frosh week across all colleges and faculties

- Bring back the UTSU Concert

- Revitalize Winter Welcome Week with a winter market

- More regular UTSU programming

- Use the UTSU as a campus connector

Revive campus life by expanding Frosh Week and bringing back the UTSU concert.

Campus life at UofT is fragmented, and unfortunately, this makes many students feel isolated. This cannot continue, and I will work towards revitalising campus life by expanding Frosh Week, bringing back popular events like the UTSU concert, and integrating orientation events into a one accessible and inclusive UofT Orientation for students from all years– not just first! It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Support student clubs with subsidized printing and fight for reduced AV costs.

UofT’s student clubs are the heart of our community, and yet the University’s booking policies and printing costs pose barriers to their effective operation. I want to unlock club potential by creating a printing centre featuring subsidized printing costs at the UTSU Commons, and fight for reducing AV costs for on-campus room bookings.

Fight for additional student spaces and more student representation in UTSU governance.

UofT’s community is nothing without its people, and I plan to support all students by advocating for more accessible prayer rooms, allocating Student Senate seats to student cultural associations, and establishing additional recreational spaces on campus,
